IBM Design, Visual / UX Design Lead

At IBM I design software and systems focused specifically on Analytics. Working with large international teams made up of designers, developers and engineers, my main focus the past year has been the rebrand the Analytic Solutions product family. Defining key components that are unique to individual products and define the brand essence, while also making sure each product is accessible and falls underneath the IBM design brand standards. Responsibilities outside of UX/visual design solutions include creating and managing timelines for product releases, client interactions, design research and facilitating collaboration sessions and workshops.
Mayer/Reed, Graphic / Environmental Designer

Projects worked on focus in the areas of branding campaigns, product design, and wayfinding systems. Responsible for concepts, sketches, mock ups (both physical and digital) material selection, client presentations, collaboration with multi disciplinary team of designers and architects to create solutions. Clients included TriMet Public Transportation, Third Angle New Music, Legacy Emmanuel Health, Oregon State University, City of Newberg, Nike and King County Metro.
SRM Graphic / Environmental Designer

Focused specifically on the branding of New Relics new location in Portland. Responsibilities included creating original wayfinding signage, super graphics, infographics and aligning them with the New Relic brand.
Big - Giant, Design Intern

Projects at Big-Giant span 2D/3D design, retail graphics, environmental design, logos, branding, and entire building spaces. In order to absorb and understand the day-to-day work of the multi-disciplinary studio, during my internship I was assigned to a variety of projects and tasks. From photo editing, illustration, presentation deck layout, model building and concept exploration and strategy. Client work included Nike, Jagged Edge Mountain Gear, and various apparel companies.
Littman Gallery, Graphic Designer/ Marketing coordinator
June 2011 – February 2012
Worked with a team of two curators and one gallery manager for Portland State Univerties student run and managed art gallery. My responsibilities as Graphic Designer/ Marketing coordinator included managing consistent design direction and execution for the gallery brand, exploring and executing advertising concepts for each show, coordinating marketing materials and see them through production & print, manage design timelines of deliverables, maintain social media and keep website up to date.
Portland Screen Printing, Graphic Designer
June 2011 – October 2011
Responsible for end-to-end design process for various types of screen printed, appliquéd and embroidered apparel. Design process included creating original artwork as well as technical knowledge of printing process. This included correct file set up for color/screen separation, understanding various printing methods, interacting with customers, collaborating with production team and managing orders.
